Enemy List
Enemy Name |
Location |
Picture |
Strategy |
Blue Grunt |
Hynen Area |
|
These guys are horribly slow, they rarely attack, and have crap defense. They are very, very easy to defeat, but don't get used to it! The enemies will get harder. |
Jumping Teeth |
Hynen Area (forests) |
|
Tougher than it looks, really. The only way to kill it is to jump on it with the Somersault Attack. Land on them once, and they die. Then clean them off your boots! Beware, though. If you get turned into a Sweet Bun in battle, these things can eat you! |
Red Grunt |
Hynen Area |
|
Basically a Blue Grunt, but slightly better, faster and stronger. Nothing to worry about though. Use your Somersault Attack to avoid getting hit, because it's really embarrassing to take damage from these guys, never mind losing to them! |
Frog Ninja |
Hynen Area |
|
They hide in the water most of the time, and don't do much else except for occasinally jump out and then right back in. If they do hop onto land, they may push you into the lake if you're not careful. You can't kill them unless you use a sword or T-Stars, but ignore them instead. |
Pig Lancer |
Delichous Area |
|
They can shoot their lance out a little bit, but if you keep your distance and jump to attack them, you'll be okay. Stronger than most of the enemies encountered so far. This enemy may look different in certain battles due to the limited color pallete. |
Little Parasol |
Near mountains around Delichous |
|
Jump on them when they stop moving. They are very easy to defeat. |
Giant Bull |
Appears after time in various battles |
|
If given enough time, the screen will go dark and this enemy will appear. The only way to get rid of it is to wait for it to disappear, or use a Sword to kill it. He's worth an extra 20 EXP if you kill him! |
Blue Bully |
Near mountains around Delichous |
|
Wait for them to jump at you, and punch them when they land. Kicking moves can not kill them. You need at least a Mega Punch equipped to damage them. |
Walking Box |
Near mountains around Delichous |
|
Don't let these guys touch you, or they will freeze your movement. Jump on them, instead. They are very easy to kill. |
Tub A Tummy |
Mayor's Palace in Delichous |
|
In order to get the Orange Bell of Prism, you need to beat him. Jump on him, and then quickly jump away to avoid his 8-way shot! |
Star Shooter |
Appears in various battles |
|
These things sit in one spot and fire T-Stars. Sneak up behind them and punch them. Found in various battles, but not as randomly encountered enemies. |
Lightning Bolt |
Deli-Chous Area |
|
You can't kill lightning, so don't even try. It will fly across the screen once you have defeated 3 enemies, so jump towards it to leap over it. Once you get the Mirror Shield, you can reflect it! |
Claw Ninja |
Forests in Delichous area |
|
These are quite difficult to kill. They appear out of nowhere, jump around the battlefield, and when they stop moving, they slash with their giant claw. Jump at them when they are about to slash to attack safely. |
Little Fire |
Deserts in Delichous area |
|
The only way to kill these guys is to jump on them. |
Spoony Bird |
Cilly City Area |
|
You can only hit these things when they are stopped in one spot and are flapping their wings. Punch them in the spoon. Spoony Bird.... get it? You should if you've played FFIV... 8) These guys are good for experience. |
Cat Mage |
Cilly City Area |
|
Looks like a cat in a mage's robe, huh? These guys have 1 attack: shooting petrifying shots at you. If you have the Mirror Shield, you can deflect the shots by facing them. Take care not to get petrified... because the next enemy on my list will beat the crap out of you if you do. |
Cat Warrior |
Cilly City Area |
|
Usually attacks with Cat Mages, these guys have pretty much all of Jack's moves. When they jump at you, punch them as soon as they land. |
Tough Grunt |
Cilly City Area |
|
These guys are tougher than the grunt enemies earlier, mainly because they can shoot projectiles! When they stop moving and look like lightning is swirling around them, stay away! |
Hiryuu |
Cilly City Area |
|
Hiryuu is slow moving, but is invincible to most attacks. The only way to kill it is to use your sword. |
Orange Jumping Teeth |
Mountains around Cilly City |
|
Use the same strategy as before. Simply jump on them to kill them. |
Genie |
Mountains around Cilly City |
|
Very easy to defeat. When it appears, dodge it's slow moving shot, and then unload a fury of punches on it! If you kill him, all other enemies on the screen turn tail and run, so go after him first! |
Flame Head |
Water Lily Palace |
|
Dodge the fireballs that they shoot, and jump on them. Easy, huh? |
Green Bully |
Water Lily Palace |
|
Exactly the same thing as Blue Bully, but a little tougher. |
Pig Lancer Red |
Water Lily Palace |
|
Pretty much the same thing as the Pig Lancers from before, except these ones fire shots at you. |
Toad Ninja |
Cilly City Area |
|
Don't even bother. These guys won't come out of the water much anyway. |
Evil Eagle |
Cilly City Area |
|
These things are tough! When they glide at you, that's the best time to hit them, but hit them from above or below. Hitting their beak does little good and makes you take a hit. |
Cat Monk |
Okay Area |
|
A stronger Cat Warrior, this enemy can actually perform the Dragon Kick! Be careful! |
Red Bully |
Mountains on road to Okay |
|
Very hard to defeat, as they can jump long distances and attack rapidly. Kicks do not work on them. It would be best to run. |
Red Jumping Teeth |
Forests on road to Okay |
|
Use the same strategy as before..... again! Simply jump on them to kill them. It's that simple... |
Claw Ninja DX |
Forests on road to Okay |
|
These guys have a mean jumping move, but other than that, they are just stronger versions of the Claw Ninja enemies found earlier. |
Cat Sage |
Forests on road to Okay |
|
A higher leveled cat mage, but it fights exactly the same as it's lower-leveled counterpart. Use the Mirror Shield to block it's shots. |
Invisibox |
Mountains on road to Okay |
|
Unless you have the Candle, these enemies will be invisible. They are almost the same as Walking Boxes, except they fire shots that wave up and down. |
Spoonier Bird |
Okay Area |
|
Pretty much the same deal as the Spoony Bird enemies. |
Jaguar |
Okay Area |
|
These things are pretty hard to kill. They fight like the Cat Warriors, but they have a long jump attack. The best way to defeat them is to move in from the top or bottom and punch them. |
Skull Archer |
Inside Yokan |
|
Take care not to get hit by these guys, unless you LIKE taking a lot of damage. Kill them with the Fire Punch, but attack from behind, the top or the bottom to avoid the arrows! |
QP Fox |
Shorin Jungle |
|
Looks more like a rhino to me.. O_o. This enemy first makes 4 clones of your character, and then starts teleporting around. Ignore the clones and defeat him to instantly win the fight. Keep in mind that punches don't work on him though. |
Sinister Eagle |
Path to Shorin |
|
Like Evil Eagle, but harder. These guys can actually throw T-Stars! |
Blue Genie |
Mountains around Shorin |
|
Very easy to defeat. When it appears, dodge it's slow moving shot, and then unload a fury of punches on it! If you kill him, all other enemies on the screen turn tail and run, so go after him first! |
Hoe-Mer |
Shorin Temple |
|
Wait until he stops moving. He will pause for a second to swing his chain. This is your chance to jump in for a quick hit, and then jump away before he whips his chain at you! |
Hit-Man |
Shorin Temple |
|
To beat Hit-Man, keep jumping at him and then jumping away. Sounds cheap, but it works! |
Charlie |
Shorin Temple |
|
To beat Charlie, jump at him when he finishes his long jump attack. Punching him will result in a mean counterattack. |
Herculean |
Shorin Temple |
|
To beat Herculean, attack him after he throws out his boomerangs. |
Hick |
Shorin Temple |
|
He's a cinch. Punch him and then jump out of the way. Repeat. |
Winoman |
Shorin Temple |
|
To beat Winoman, jump at him and attack after he attacks. He shoots the word "Hiyaa!" at you ????? |
Blue Genie |
Shorin Jungle |
|
Kill him, and only him in battle. It wipes out all the other enemies, and he's easy to kill anyways! Dodge his magic though... it turns you into a Sweet Bun! |
Purple Jumping Teeth |
Shorin Jungle |
|
Again, the same thing as before. Jump on it. But beware, this one can actually shoot stuff at you! |
Sabretooth Brute |
Shorin Jungle |
|
These things look strong... but they are pretty standard as far as enemies go. Just beat them up, but make sure they don't hit you with their projectiles! |
Golem |
Chatzy Desert |
|
Watch these guys VERY carefully! If they shoot a rock, make sure your feet are not on the ground when it hits something, or you will be stunned for a few seconds, allowing the enemies to advance! Attack from the sides. |
Dancing Helmet |
Chatzy Desert |
|
Pretty much the exact same thing as the Jumping Teeth enemies. Deal with them in the exact same way. |
Purple Hiryuu |
Chatzy Desert |
|
A stronger version of Hiryuu that shoots little projectiles. Avoid like the plague. |
Woohoo |
Chatzy Desert |
|
Aww, isn't it CUTE??? Be careful though, it likes to jump across the battlefield and push you into things. I recommend the T-Stars, they work well on this thing. |
Undead Archer |
Cave to Snowfield |
|
A tougher version of the Skull Archers. |
Stupid Face That Hides on Statues and fires 3-way blasts at you and expects to hit you |
Cave to Snow Field (shows up during certain battles) |
|
If the enemies in a battle aren't showing up, it's cause of these stupid things. Travel up to the northern part of the screen where they hide out and punch them out while leaping over their 3-way shots. |
Zombie |
Cave to Snow Field |
|
VERY EASY TO KILL! Just punch it, but make sure it doesn't touch you, or it will hold you down. |
Frozen Zombie |
Snow Field |
|
Guess what? It's the exact same thing as a normal Zombie! Just punch it, again! |
Mountain Lion |
Snow Field |
|
The exact same thing as Sabertooth Brute, but a little stronger. |
Cool Cat |
Snow Field |
|
A stronger version of the Jaguar enemies. |
Clawmaster |
Shinshin Tower |
|
The strongest Claw Ninja out there. Do onto him as you did onto the others. |
Mad Batter |
Mt Cone-Rum |
|
Ouch, this guy is really tough. He travels across the screen swinging his bat in a 360 degree rotation, so you can't punch him. His bat shoots out 4 projectiles, which become Red Skulls! When he does this, either take out 3 of the skulls (to avoid him creating more), or simply beat up the Mad Batter, ending the battle. |
Cloaked Mage |
Mt Cone-Rum |
|
Okay, let me explain this one. The Cloaked Mage picture on the top is the REAL one.. attack him! The yellowish one on the bottom is the illusion... avoid him. Cloaked Mage will teleport across the screen, eventually stopping in one spot to shoot a magic blast. When he stops, go after him (skip the fakes) and punch him a few times. Repeat if needed. |
Gargoyle |
Mt Cone-Rum |
|
Is everything on Mt Cone-Rum hard to kill? Geez... this is probably the toughest enemy in the game. Punching it results in a counterattack, and so does jump-kicking it! It would be best to run or Mighty Ball it! |
4-Armed Monkey |
Mt Cone-Rum |
|
The only way to damage these things is to wait for them to throw their ball at you, and then jump in and beat them up before the ball returns. In English: Vulnerable only when projectile is out. |
Red Skull |
Summoned by Mad Batter |
|
Pretty much the exact same thing as Purple Skull Archers, but harder to kill, and appear only by Mad Batter's summoning. |
Gold Hiryuu |
Mt Cone-Rum |
|
The same as any other Hiryuu, except they move and fire a lot faster. The only way to kill them is to use the Prism Sword. |
Devillian |
Fire Castle as a boss, Mt Cone-Rum as a random encounter |
|
At the beginning of the fight, he will shoot about 5 homing fireballs towards you. Keep running away from them, taking the doors across the battlefield if you want, until they are extinguished. Then, go in there and slash at him with your sword. But be ready to run, as he's going to shoot the fireballs again! Repeat until dead! DEAD! Gahahaah! |
