Laruba
Mansion to Castlevania
|
As you may have noticed in the last screenshot, yes, you have to go back
now. If you continue going left, you'll end up at Camilla Cemetary, and a one-way ticket
back to the town of Aljiba. Castlevania is the other way, so that's the way we're going.
Battle your way all the way back to Bodley Mansion and go past it further right. You'll
reach the town of Doina, where the people don't seem to like you very much. |
Make sure to visit the church in this town before leaving, though. Unless
you gain a level later on, this is the last opportunity you'll have to heal up. Pass
through town and proceed further right, over a bridge, to reach another poison marsh. You
know what to do: use one of your many Laurels to cross safely. Take note that the Fishmen
on the bridge and the Two-headed Creatures in the marsh shoot fireballs much faster than
usual. |
|
|
When you come across a stairway going down, be sure to take it. The other
way leads to a dead end. At the bottom is the town of Yomi. This town is completely
deserted, save for one old woman, who offers... well, see for yourself. No thank you! ^_^; |
Proceed past the town of Yomi and you'll end up in a graveyard. Pass
through and you'll be at the bridge leading to Castlevania! The bridge is blocked, but you
can break through if you have all of Dracula's body parts and the Magic Cross,
which you do. So toss some Holy Water and go on ahead. At this point, you have to decide
which ending to see (see the Endings section), since time
stops in Castlevania. |
|
|
This is it. The ruins of Castlevania. You'd think it would be the most
heavily guarded place of all, but you'll find that actually, there's no enemies here at
all! All you have to do is break through the floor with Holy Water and proceed deeper into
the castle. |
At the bottom, you will find an altar. You will automatically toss the
five body parts on it and burn them. Phew, glad that's over with. ...what, it's over,
right? Of course not, how could it be over without an appearance of everyone's favorite
Prince of Darkness... |
|
|
Dracula. Yup, destroying the curse unfortunately also causes the Count to
be resurrected. He'll make your supply of Garlic vanish, so you won't be able to use that
against him. Also note that although you just burnt Dracula's body parts, they're still in
your inventory. Odd. Anyway, Dracula can do quite some damage if you touch him, but he's
really not hard to beat at all. |
You can already whip him about nine times when he first appears. Sure,
it's not very sporting to do that, but you're not here to be sporting. :) After these
initial hits, retreat to the lower-left corner and keep on whippin'. Really, that's all
there is to it. Don't worry about getting hit, he'll die long before you do. Alternately,
you can try hitting him with Golden Knives, and kill him before he can even move. And
that's that... you've finished Castlevania II! |
